Why My Champagne Birthday Was the Best Year of My Life
For those of you who don’t know, a champagne birthday is when the date of someone's birth and age are the same. For example, my birthday is the 21st of March and last year, I turned 21 years old. Champagne birthdays are also known as golden birthdays or your good luck year. The year that your age matches your birthdate is supposed to be a year full of good luck and abundance, one of your best years to live!
I’ve known about champagne birthdays since I was a little kid and I had been looking forward to my 21st birthday ever since. I was so excited to turn 21 and wanted everything in my twenty first year to be perfect. I can honestly say that my champagne year was the best year of my life. I’ve had a few good years here and there, but nothing compares to my golden year. Today, I turn 22 years old! I feel proud of what I have accomplished during this year and I must admit that I am sad for it to be over, but hopefully 22 will be just as good and exciting!
I’ve grown and experienced many things this year and I accomplished big things. I graduated from college, travelled to Europe for the very first time, found an amazing job that I absolutely love, my sister moved back to Montreal and I launched my own business - RA Attire!
Graduating college was a big accomplishment for me as I decided that college is where I stopped my career as a student; I decided to enter the workplace instead of attending university. School brought me large amounts of stress so it was relieving to know that I was officially done and that I finished my career as a student as top ten of my program. Right after graduation, I flew and met my friend in Europe; it was such a wonderful experience and I got to meet great people along the way!
In my 21st year I found an amazing job with great people that value my work and efforts. I get to work in my field everyday and learn valuable things that help me expand RA Attire. I’m grateful to have such an amazing job and work environment along with wonderful colleagues.
RA Attire is the biggest accomplishment from my champagne year! I’ve created a brand that I am so very proud of and I love seeing it grow each and every day. It’s my biggest project that I've ever worked on; it took a lot of work and time to launch it but I made it and I’m so happy that I didn’t give up. This brand took me two years from idea to launch, but realistically it took me a year of head-on work to get it running. I’ve been hoping and dreaming of getting to run and own a business and knowing I’ve started my journey as an entrepreneur makes me so proud and excited to see what else is coming my way. I have so much planned for this year for RA Attire, I can’t wait for you all to see what’s coming!
